If you've ever needed a gas refill for the barbecue and wondered whether to refill your existing bottle or swap it, here's how it works at Speedway.
Swap & Go is exactly what it sounds like: instead of waiting around for your empty gas bottle to be refilled, you hand it over at the counter and take a full, pre-filled and safety-checked replacement bottle straight away. It's faster than a refill, and every bottle in the swap program is inspected and certified before it goes back into circulation, so you're never handed a bottle past its test date.
Most 9kg bottles used for home barbecues are compatible with the standard Swap & Go program — bring your empty bottle (any brand, it doesn't need to be a Speedway-branded bottle to start with) and swap it over the counter.
Around 39 of our 50 stations offer Swap & Go gas cylinder exchange — check the amenities list on your local station's page to confirm before you drive over, since it's not universal across every site the same way core fuel is.
It's a small thing, but it's exactly the kind of everyday convenience an independently-run local station can offer without needing head-office sign-off — most Speedway operators stock it because their own customers asked for it.
